Shimanov and Girya are the favorites of the round-robin events in the Moscow Open

The contestants of the 2013 Moscow Open round-robin tournaments, the RSSU cup events for student grandmasters, have been decided.

In the men’s tournament: Aleksandr Shimanov (RUS, 2630), Robert Hovhannisyan (ARM, 2610), Manuel Leon Hoyos (MEX, 2599), Vladimir Belous (RUS, 2554), Jan Krejci (CZE, 2529), S.P. Sethuraman (IND, 2520), Mikhail Mozharov (RUS, 2515), Alexey Reshetnikov (RUS, 2508), Andrey Stukopin (RUS, 2492), Burak Firat (TUR, 2406).

In the women’s tournament: Olga Girya (RUS, 2467), Karina Szczepkowska-Horowska (POL, 2378), Irina Vasilevich (RUS, 2370), Nastassia Ziaziulkina (BLR, 2367), Guliskhan Nakhbayeva (KAZ, 2334), Anastasia Savina (RUS, 2323), Dina Drozdova (RUS, 2286), Varvara Saulina (RUS, 2272), Daria Pustovoitova (RUS, 2257), Altanulzii Enkhtuul (MGL, 2153).

Both competitions are single-round robins to be played out over the course of 9 days. The prize funds of the tournaments will be equal – 250,000 RUB each.
